Delivery, refunds and privacy
Delivery
After you pay, Stripe sends you back to a download page. You may download each book you bought up to five times within 90 days. Your receipt has the link to that page.
Refunds
If something is wrong with your book, write to me and I will refund it. A refund ends the downloads of everything bought with it, even when it is for one book of several.
A font license is not refunded. If a font is not what you expected, you may write to me by email, through the contact below, to say what dissatisfied you and what you expected instead. I may then make an exception and refund it, case by case and at my discretion; no one is entitled to one. If I do, the font’s license ends with the refund: stop using the font and delete every copy. What you made and published with it before then may stay as it is.
Your cart
The cart is kept in your browser, not by the shop, until you check out.
Privacy
Stripe takes your payment and your email address for the receipt; this shop never sees your card. The shop keeps only an order number, the book, and how many times it was downloaded, and for a font, its licensee (below).
A font license
A font is licensed to someone, so for a font order the shop keeps, beside the order: the name of the licensee (you, or the organization you name at checkout), whether that is an individual or an organization, the email address you give Stripe, the license and its version, and when you agreed to it. Nothing else.
Why. To know whom each license belongs to, so that I can confirm it if you or anyone asks, and offer an upgrade to the same licensee. No newsletter and no other mail.
Who sees it. Only me, Kris Kowal. It is stored in the shop’s database at Amazon Web Services and never sold or shared. Your payment details stay with Stripe; the shop never sees your card.
How long. For as long as the license lasts, since it has no end date. To correct it, or to have it deleted (which leaves the license unrecorded), write to me.
