Terms of sale

These terms are for what you buy at this shop: board books and fonts, sold by me, Kris Kowal.

What you buy

A book is the PDF of one of my board books. Basic Binary Board Book is not sold here: it is a printed book, sold by Amazon under Amazon’s terms.

A font is its files and a license to use them. The license, not these terms, says how you may use the font:

• Jupiter and 119: the Jupiter and 119 Standard License (Standard 1.0)

At checkout you name the licensee, you or an organization, and agree to the font’s license before you pay.

Prices are in US dollars, as shown on each page. Stripe’s page shows the total, with any tax, before you pay.

Payment

You pay on Stripe’s checkout page. Stripe takes your payment details; this shop never sees your card. Stripe sends you a receipt.

Delivery

Everything here is delivered by download; nothing is shipped. After you pay, Stripe sends you back to a download page, where you may download each thing you bought up to 5 times within 90 days. Your receipt has the link to that page. A font comes as one zip with its license and, for your order, a license certificate.

Refunds

If something is wrong with a book you bought, write to me and I will refund it. A refund ends the downloads of everything bought with it, even when it is for one thing of several.

A font license is not refunded. If a font is not what you expected, you may write to me by email, through the contact on the policies page, to say what dissatisfied you and what you expected instead. I may then make an exception and refund it, case by case and at my discretion; no one is entitled to one. If I do, the font’s license ends with the refund: stop using the font and delete every copy. What you made and published with it before then may stay as it is.
